Paradox and Diva Dance for Diva Challenge #301

Yes, two lovely patterns in a duo tangle for this weeks Diva Challenge.  Paradox and Diva Dance are two of my favorites, so here are the tiles I made for this challenge #301.

I suffered a whole month with a bad vision, I changed my ordinary lenses into multifocal lenses - so I should not use a reading glasses any more to make my drawings.  But, not a great a success in the beginning !!  My eyes have to adapt to the new lenses, for reading and for looking far away.  I hope in another month it will be all right again, so I can continue to zentangle with a good and clear focus !

Challenges Square One November

Yes,  we are sitting downstairs again - our living room is finished ! And with a beautiful result.  I even have another piano to practice my choral music pieces. Very nice !

Week one: Verve
Nice curved pattern !

Week two: Cyme
A pattern I like very much.  Here I combined it with Tri-Bee in the background

Week three: paradox
News from Paris .... Unexpected , unbelievable, unfortunate. So i tried to focus on something else and made these flowerish paradox. Focus on something beautiful in live ..., so I created a flowerish paradox.

Week four: Pea Nucle
And here another one for Paris and Brussels, suffering of the terror threath these days.  And as I work in Brussels, we are recommanded to work from home this week.
You can see Pea Nucle, Narwal, pozer, Schway in my tile.

Moving boxes

Nice Diva challenge this week (#236), "Tangle on some object you would normally not tangle on".  What should I take, a picture out of a magazine, another thee cup, something of the children... I look around in our living room, and then I know it ! Our living room (and other rooms) is at the moment full of moving boxes, because we start renovating it next week and we have to empty the whole living room.  Also quite a challenge !

So I started tangling on a moving box.  Quite different from tangling on a tile.  The patterns have to be bigger, and a steady hand is needed.  I started friday evening while the childeren where looking another 'K3 is looking for K3' and I finished it yesterday.  My youngest asked if she could have the box afterworths to put in her room with some stuff.  "Because it is to beautiful to throw it away, mam".  I hope you like it too !

Lighthouse - Diva challenge #229

It's a while ago I made a post for the weekly Diva challenge, but the challenge of this week #229 had my attention.  (And also because of the time I can spend during the holliday's ofcourse)  The guest blogger Sandy Hunter asks us to focus on the white part on your tile.

I still had a sketch in my sketch book that I dit not work out so far, and I thought is was perfect for this challenge.  It is a sketch of a new modern lighthouse that was build in Oostende (at the sea side in Belgium), and my husbend and I  saw it during our Easter holliday's there .  It had a big red pattern on the front, and I decided just to leave that part white in my tile, so it draws your attention.  I used Betweed, ING, Crescent moon, pearls for the lighthouse.  For the background I used Shattuck and Paradox.

I also post my tile for the previous challenge #228 of guest blogger Cari Sultanik, where we had to make a tile which looks organic or natural.  I post here my Cirquital tile I made last week for the Square One facebook group.  It it full of natural elements.

White on black

This weeks Diva Challenge #216 is to make a white on black tile or ZIA.  I love white on black tiles but I must say I make them rarely.  Looking through my collection I see I've even never made a zentangle in 'stadard format '(3,5") in white on black.  So, I'll do it  this week.  I found it far more difficult to make a pattern in white with my gel pen, then with my black pens.  Also, I find that 'colouring' in white with the gel gen doesn't give a very smooth result.  So, I alway's choose patterns where you don't have to colour a lot, just drawing lines gives for me the best result in white on black. And just adding a bit of white pencil.

Here you can see what I made of it.

Moebius in hearts

The Diva challenge #201 this week is to use the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo.
Saterday, January 24, was the  Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day. Artoo, Laura's youngest son is born with this syndrome. You can read more about it on her blog

I filled the string with Chartz, Tipple, Static and  Paradox in the middle.  At first I did not know what to use for the background.  Then I thought about Laura, Artoo... and being a mother. So I put some heartline in the background, for all those people with Moebius Syndrome and who are being loved by someone.
