Square One Pure Zentangle: focus June 2017

Oh wow,  we are already June 30th.  Our eldest daughter graduated from secondary school last Monday and she had her first 'prom' on Wednesday.  Very lovely to see them all together there, being 18 and laughing and making fun.

Time to look back to the focus of June !

Week 1: Dreamdex
Not that easy, I struggle a bit with the basic grid.  But it becomes easier when I let it go...  I made it with paradox in the middle, but it didn't turn out very well.  I like the background more than the center.

Week 2: Puffin
I decided to make a colored one of this. With a little Henna Drum and Dreamdex in the corners.

Week 3: Showgirl
Oh I like this one !

Week 4: Struts
I did not do this one, too busy...

Week 4: Flez
I made a zentangled 'A' with Flez for my youngest daughter.  She wants to use it as a background for her mobile.

Square One Purely Zentangle - focus January 2017

Another year started well ! The Square One focus continues every week, and I try to participate as much as I can.  It’s a nice and easy way of relaxing in the evening.  So here we go with my tiles I created in January.

Week 1: Icanthis

Week 2: Paushalov
A nice spiral tangle, lots of fun while using it.

Week 3: Lollywimple
What a nice name for a tangle ! I used it together with printemps in my tile.

Week 4: Mak-Rah-Mee
Oh, I made a lot of Makramee when I was a teenager. Mostly bracelets for friends but also other things.  So a lovely pattern with nice memories.

Week 4: Bucky
Hmmm … not one of my favorites.  It reminds me to much of a bad character in a Flemish TV series ('Het Eiland').  Although it was a humoristic series, Bucky’ s role in it was very dubious.  I just couldn’t stand him.

Week 3: Oke
OKe, no time, no tile...

Week 4: A-Dalpha

Challenges Square One November

Yes,  we are sitting downstairs again - our living room is finished ! And with a beautiful result.  I even have another piano to practice my choral music pieces. Very nice !

Week one: Verve
Nice curved pattern !

Week two: Cyme
A pattern I like very much.  Here I combined it with Tri-Bee in the background

Week three: paradox
News from Paris .... Unexpected , unbelievable, unfortunate. So i tried to focus on something else and made these flowerish paradox. Focus on something beautiful in live ..., so I created a flowerish paradox.

Week four: Pea Nucle
And here another one for Paris and Brussels, suffering of the terror threath these days.  And as I work in Brussels, we are recommanded to work from home this week.
You can see Pea Nucle, Narwal, pozer, Schway in my tile.

Challenges Square One September

I quickly post the tiles I made in September.  I'll try to make some in October, but I don't know if I'll have time.  So enjoy already these ones !

week one: Yincut
I made my Yincut tile with ING, Tipple and a few Jetties for a little accent in the tile.  It looks quite nice to me !

week two: Inapod
Inapod is a pattern I already know, but I don't use it often.  I have not yet found some good combinations with this one.  Here I tried it with Narwal, Eddy Per and Frillee.

week three: Opus
This is a new pattern for me.  So, first trying and then making my tile.  I combined is with Cadent and made 2 tiles with it.  My second one was in fact my first one, but I dit not not finish it because the curl goes over the tile.  But end of the week, I finished it any way.

week four: Merinque
yes, I know this pattern and I used it already quit often.  But the result is not always satifying.  The curve does not always go where I want it.  Here some new probes.

week five: Zenith
Zenith was a challenge on the Diva website  a few weeks ago, and I participated there.  Due to the renovation of our living room (it starts next week), I didn't have time to make another tile with Zenith.  So here is my tile of a few weeks ago.

Challenges Square One May

The month did pass realy quickly.  I can't believe whe are already in June.  Still some exams for the children and then there are already the summer hollidays.  I post my tiles I made in May for the facebook group Square one.

Week one: cubine
I did not like cubine in the beginning, it was to static for me.  But, then I played a bit with it and tried some variations, and yes I got some quit nice results.  I made two tiles with it.

Week two: zinger
Oh, this is also a lovely pattern. I used it together with Featherfall van Bunzo.

Week three: bunzo
One of my favorites - I used is already last week - so i made different tiles.  I wanted to create some bunzo worms coming out of the black holes.  And after some trying it succeeded quit well.

Week tree: purk
One of the patterns I learned in the beginning. So a chance here to use and practice again.

Week four: Rain
Finaly, my tile is finished today.  Due to the fact that I'm not using the standard format of 3,5 inch (9cm), but making a bigger one - more a ZIA of 20cm square - it took a little longer. But here is Rain together with Pokeleaf, Nzeppel, Printemps, Knightbridge and some new patterns I learned like Drupe, Antidots, Eddy Per

Challenges March Square one

The Square One challenges of March:

Week one: Bunzo
It's really one of my fovorites.  So I made differt tiles with it.

Week two: Oof (Out of Focus)
Oof was new to my.  In the tile I post here, I did not go to the last step but I liked it this way with a little pearl in it.

Week three: Mooka
My favorite !  I already made different tiles with Mooka because I like it that much.  You can find them on my blog.  This week, I made another one with a nice zentangle border.  I also used Dragonair and Pokeleaf in my tile.

Week four: Squid
Oh, another one I like ! What a nice month to tangle and do the challenges. Although I'm not that good in drawing this pattern.  But, the results become better and better every time I make a tile with is. I also used Isochor in this tile.

Challenges January Square One

In Januray, I made some nice tiles for the challenges of the facebook group "Square One: Pure Zentangle".  I post them all together here on my blog.

First January: Ahh
Ahh... on new years day. Together with ING, Fescu and flux.

Second week: Nzeppel
Nzeppel in a windstrom - as the last days were here. With fricle, agua and printemps

Third week: BB
Out of my sketchbook: BB and Keeko.  I started a while ago to learn all the official tangles and I make a tile of them in my sketchbook.  So BB was already in it. Hope you like it.

Fourth week:Rixty
Rixty was a new pattern to me, but I had a lot of fun with it last week.  Together with copada, tipple, Fricle, BB and Fescu

Lucky clover

The challenge of 'Square One: Pure Zentangle' was to use the pattern Crescent Moon this week.  My Crescent  Moon turned out to be a four leaves clover ... for luck !  So here my wishes for 2015: luck and hapiness to all of you in 2015.

My next tile with crescent moon, I made on gray paper because I wanted to use some white in it. May be because of a bit of snow in my mind I think ?  And there it is: today a few centimeters of snow - may be tomorrow just enough for the childer to play in.

During the year I made some other flowers, and I'll post them here together with my lycky clover.  The first down here is my napkin-flower ('servietbloem') .  I made it in the summer after a barbecue we had with some friends.  The hostess put some very nice napkins on the table with a beautiful pattern.  I tangled it immediately at home, and made this nice flower with it. It's also made on gray paper.

The tile here was the first I made on black paper.  Not that easy with the white gel pens I have.  I should look for some better ones soon !  I tangled the flowers of my eyeglasses case, during a a coffee break while doing some shopping a while ago.  For the background on the tile, I was inspired by the wall paper of the cafe.
