Challenges Square One December

Already the last week of another year.  I am tangling now for about a year and a half, and I still love it.

Week one: Steps
A new pattern to me, and I like it very much.  Plenty of possibilities for variatons.

Week two: Drupe
Oh, I love this one !

Week three:WUD
This is a tangle I know.  I already used it a lot in my tiles, but without knowing it was WUD I used.  Here I combined it with Arukas and Undling

Week four: Ixorus
Nearly Christmas, and we already put the Christmas tree in our living room.  Always a nice family moment with the children.  So I decided to make a tile with a tree and a sepertine in it for this challenge.

Pimped book covers

September is already half way, and the children began at school again.  The daily routine is on again.  September is also the month of the new school stuff, books and covers.  My eldest daughter loves to pimp her books and covers.  She has always so much inspiration.

You can see some nice examples here, they are alle zentangle inspired. And I also zentangled one of her covers - the purple one.  I tried to make it different from hers, by using flowery - and round patterns.

She is especially fond of elephants, because this is her "totem" (special name) in the scouts group.

White on black

This weeks Diva Challenge #216 is to make a white on black tile or ZIA.  I love white on black tiles but I must say I make them rarely.  Looking through my collection I see I've even never made a zentangle in 'stadard format '(3,5") in white on black.  So, I'll do it  this week.  I found it far more difficult to make a pattern in white with my gel pen, then with my black pens.  Also, I find that 'colouring' in white with the gel gen doesn't give a very smooth result.  So, I alway's choose patterns where you don't have to colour a lot, just drawing lines gives for me the best result in white on black. And just adding a bit of white pencil.

Here you can see what I made of it.
