Tea cups
Here are my zentangled tea cups. I used the Posca pens I bought last week, and put the cups subsequently in a hot oven for about 45 minutes. My housemates like the result very much - and me too ! I hope the drawings last a bit - also after putting the cups in the dishwasher. That was not mentioned in the brochure... We'll see and I'll let you know ;)

Zentangled shopping bag
Last Sunday I went to an open house day of a store where they sell all kinds of drawing material, paper, pens etc. My friend - who introduced me to Zentangle - gave a demonstration of zentangle with some material of the store. So I went to see her and to look at the material she used.
She had some nice pens of Posca you can use on almost any material: paper, textile, glass, wood, china ... Very nice ! I could try it there on a flower pot she brought with her. Thank you Ingrid ! I looked for some pens I could use on a textile shopping bag, and I also want to zentangle my breakfast tea cups - as I saw some examples on the internet. This was just what I needed.
At home, I tried it out the pens on some different materials and then I zentangled my bag. Here it is. Nice, don't you think ?

Challenges February Square One
Time to post my tiles for the Square one challenges of February. Here they are:
First week: Quandary
While practicing Quandary, I had to think also about other 'flower' patterns, like Flutter en Flower Vine.
Fourth week: Strircles
I made a tile with Flormeoba which I love and makes me think of poppies and our summer holiday last year. I gave it a nice contrast with the Strircles in the background.

Second week: Well
Well... turned out to be a nice pattern with a lot of possibilities for variations. I used two variations together with Paradox, and it turned out very WELL.

Third week: Huggins
My huggins did'nt turn out very well this week. I made a mistake in the beginning, but as there are no mistakes in zentangle, it just turned out in another variation of Huggins. Here together with River and Keeko.
And as we are in February.. I made another tile in my scetchbook with Huggins and Heartvine and Heartline. I post it also here.

Zias - the next step
Yes, I put the step to creating Zia's (Zentangle Inspired Art) on larger pages. I want to create something to hang in our house. So, I'm looking a bit at the size that is comfortable to work with and gives a nice result.
Here are already three of my trials (20x20 cm) . We'll see were it ends...

Valentangle challenge #204
Oh yes, the Diva challenge this week has to do with valentine of course. It is called a valentangle, and you can use the patterns you wish.
I made mine with the Trio pattern, beause I always found it looking like a heart. I added a string with heartline to it, and put some variation of Crescent Moon around it. I think it's one of my better ones ! I put it in a nice envelope and gave it to my husband this morning. Little valentine surprise... and he liked it very much.
Alle the other tiles posted for this challenge you can find here on the Diva website: valentangles

Spooky little man
The weekly Challenge #203 of I am the Diva is to use the UMT (Use My Tangle) "Athitzi" by Seven. A very simple pattern, but you need a lot of patience to make it good-looking. Really a zen pattern !
I did not know immediately what to make with it, but then I saw the mandala my daughter made for me this week at school. They had some 'time off' in the computerclass and could do what they wanted. So she asked the teacher if she could look up and print a mandala for her mom.
I would take a part out of it and use that as a string for Athitzi. And who knows what the result will be.
Here it is ! And the result is ... a little Spooky man. My daugther loves is, and I should'nt touch is further because 'it looks just nice now with his tree eyes, nose and laughing mouth'. Ok then, I publish it like this, together with the coloured madala I got.
