Earth Day

We don't have an Earth Day in Belgium and I've never heard of it before, but nevertheless I participate to the Diva Challenge this week (challenge #214). So, the challenge is to make a tile in the theme of Earth Day.

I made an open earth where everything is possible, were unexpected things happen, where there is a lot of variaton in the different parts of it and a bit shadow for comfort when it's necessary. I hope you like it !

Oostende

My husband and I went for a little trip of two days to Oostende (seaside Belgium).  We wanted to see the  exhibition 'The Sea', composed by Jan Hoet.  There was an exhibition in the museum 'The Sea' plus a walk in Oostende with 11 places where you could see an artwork that had a connection with the sea.  We enjoied it a lot, especially because we had marvelous weather these 2 days.  We also visited The Atlantic Wall in Raversyde, with some remains of WWI and WWII.

Here a little zentangle I made during this trip, with the see and the tilling you see everywhere on the Belgian seawall.  I used Fanz, Agua, Frillee, Nipa, Printemps and Bubbles. I made it while I was looking at the sea from the terras of our splendid hotel, sitting in the sunshine. And we could also look to a beatiful sunset in the evening.

Renaissance Fanz

For the challenge #212 posted on the website I am the Diva CZT, I tried some renaissance tile.  I really like this style when I see some other examples on the internet.  So, this is my first one and I have to practice it a bit further.  I used some card stock we had ad home, and made some 3,5" cards of it.  May be the colour of the paper is a bit to dark, but the result is still quite nice.

The challenge of this week is to use Fanz, an UMT of Susan Goetter.  It's a nice pattern to fill in.  I learned it when I started with zentangle, but  never used it in a tile until now.  You can see also Flux, the challenge #211 of last week and Roxi.

I give also the link to the other posts for this challenge on the Diva website iamthedivaczt-weekly-challenge-212

Easter Eggs

We celebrated Easter yesterday, and we were so happy to see the good weather for the first time in weeks ! A bit to cold, but a lot of sunshine.

I zentangled some easter eggs.  I must admit it is a lot more difficult than tangling on paper.  But still a nice result.  I used the black and white Posca pens I bought a while ago.

And my teacups I zentangled with these pens ? Hm... it was not a good idea to put them in the dishwasher, so most of the tangles are already vanished.  I 'll start again and wash the cups by hand then :(. Or I'll choose some other objects to tangle on.

Challenges March Square one

The Square One challenges of March:

Week one: Bunzo
It's really one of my fovorites.  So I made differt tiles with it.

Week two: Oof (Out of Focus)
Oof was new to my.  In the tile I post here, I did not go to the last step but I liked it this way with a little pearl in it.

Week three: Mooka
My favorite !  I already made different tiles with Mooka because I like it that much.  You can find them on my blog.  This week, I made another one with a nice zentangle border.  I also used Dragonair and Pokeleaf in my tile.

Week four: Squid
Oh, another one I like ! What a nice month to tangle and do the challenges. Although I'm not that good in drawing this pattern.  But, the results become better and better every time I make a tile with is. I also used Isochor in this tile.

Spiral

The challenge posted on the Diva website this week (challenge #210) is to use a spiral this week.  Oh, I love that, so thank you Laura for this challenge.  I used already often a spiral in my tiles.  You can find them all on my blog.

This week, I made a spiral with the patterns Aquafleur, Purk, Frillee and Squid.  And oh yes, in the corners Tipple with some spirals in it.

Spring is green

Spring is green !
That is the challenge of the Diva this week (#209).  "Spring is arriving, so Green Up your tile."

I used a green pen for my featherfall, and left all the rest in black pen.  So my featherfall really 'springs' out of my tile. I used also Phicops and some leaves of quandary - falling as blossom.

And here... yesterday is was really spring, a lot of sunshine and quite warm.  But today again cold, all day cloudy.  Yes, in March we can not expect already to much good weather :).  But nice we can think of it while tangling !

Here you can see all the tiles posted on the Diva site for this challenge:
