Challenge #186 Leaves and light in BXL Parc

Well well, the Diva challenge of this week suites perfectly with the sketch I made last week in the parc of Brussels.  The mission is to use leaves in your tile this week.

Last week on one of the last really sunny days in september, I had my lunch in the parc, which is nearby my work.  I set there, enjoyed the sun and looked around.  Nothing special to draw... no need to for a nice zentangle or ZIA.  I looked again, and yes, wondered that there were already so many leaves on the ground.  Autumn is comming fast.  I made a sketch of it, sitting on the gras, just in front of a lantern.  Hm... that suites also in my drawing.  Leaves and light in Autumn.

Mooka II series

And finally, I finished this weekend the series of Mooka that I started during our holidays.  I love the Mooka that much, and I wanted to make a series of it.  So during our holidays, I made different sketches of it, but never had the time to work them out properly.  So this weekend, I finially finished the last ones.  Some of them look like Mooka Family's, some others are just nice looking Mooka's.

Kittens in mind

Begin August, we decided to take a new kitten in our house.  Our old cat died a year ago, and we felt like starting with a new young one now.  And of a sudden, kittens were in my mind and also in my zentangles.  Kittens tails, kittens eyes, kittens nest... came spontaneously out of my hand.  And yes, a couple of weeks later on the 15th of August we adopted Tuxi, a beautiful and social black tomcat with a white chest of about three months old.

And yes I participate this week also to the Diva challenge. In Challege #185 we have to use Phicops and DivaDance. The patterns are new to me so first a little practice. And then my tile ... I wanted to let the Phicops dance als well - not only the Diva. So here is my tile with the dancing Diva and Phicops.

Birth and Mooka Family

In the period I was trying out the pattern Mooka, my niece gave birth to a little baby girl.  I wanted to send her a handmade birth card, since I was full of drawing tangles.  The Mooka was just perfect to make a nice card of it.  I call it my little Mooka Family with three mooka-strings in it.  Just enough for a new family.  And the pregnant belly just peeps out of the border on the right...

A star ING for zentangle challenge #184

I just could'nt stop with challenge #184 of "I am the diva" http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.be.  So I made another one: a star ING.  In the beginning I found it not so succefull with Puff-O at the border, but then I added Roel to the tile. And then the feeling...yes this is it ! I let you share my joy of creating a nice tile.

Zentangle challenge #184

I'm not yet that familiar with the 'zentangle-world' and so for the first time I use a zentangle challenge.  Challenge #184 of ' I am the Diva ' gives us the pattern ING to work with.

After a few trials in my scetchbook here's is my result.  I used ING and Quib in my tile.  My housemates love it. Hmm, maybe I look also to next weeks challenge...

Breathe

One of my favorite zentangles I made for Jorinde, my physiotherapist.  A while ago, I sufferd from chronic hyperventilation and I went to a physiotherapist for a few months.  And she learned me to breathe again.  There was one excercice I had to repeat and repeat over and over again, and it inspired me to make a zentangle of it.  Sitting on a chair... breath in - move forward, breath out and relax - move backwards.  And after two months, I felt much better ! Thank you Jorinde.  I put it on my blog, so I should never forget how to breathe in an easy, relaxed way.

This is what I made of it, and I gave the tile to Jorinde on my last session.

Aquafleur

I decided to take the advice of Linda Farmer, and to start learning the official zentangle patterns.  Thank you Linda for your website and list of official zentangle patterns !  One pattern that had my attention was Aquafleur.  Such a beautiful pattern !

My inspiration of Aquafleur in a zentangle ... just look and enjoy.
I made three of them.
